Hip Hop Dance night

We want everyone to have fun and to celebrate being part of our Heatley School community at the Dance Night 2019.

The ‘Heatley Way’ code of behaviour applies to all children and adults alike. Everyone is expected to do the right thing to make it a great night.

Some year levels may have advised specific clothing, however smart casual clothes which are comfortable to dance in are what is expected.

Children are required to assemble outside the Prep B classroom 15 minutes prior to their dance time.

Program for the night

Parents & friends may be invited to join in after the children have demonstrated their dance.  Be watching so you know the steps!

NO Child is to come to school unaccompanied.

ALL CHILDREN must be supervised by a parent or family member at all times until just before and during the dance performance when staff will organize children.

There will be a lot of dancing and a fair bit of food, but when we run out, we run out! The following food & drinks will be on sale from 5:45pm

  • Chappy sausage sizzle
  • Slushies/soft drinks/water
  • Beef/chicken burgers and ham & salad rolls
  • Coffee van
  • Glow sticks (not for eating!)

1.     Families are most welcome to also bring their own picnic dinner. No alcohol is to be consumed on the premises.

2.     Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the school grounds including 5 metres from the fence line.

3.     There will be designated seating areas: space for sitting on the grass only, other spaces for BYO chairs (some chairs will be provided), reserved seating for elderly people, grandparents and standing room at the back.  Please be mindful of this so you don’t block anyone’s view.

4.     Photography is allowed on the night, but please be respectful of other people’s children and do not post images on social media unless they are of your own children only.

5.     Anywhere past the toilet blocks on the oval side is out of bounds. Security guards will be patrolling the school and police have been advised of the event.

6.     Please bring some small change. We would prefer not to cash $50 notes for lucky tickets.
