Helping students access the health care they need
Starting next week on Wednesday 4 December students at Heatley State School will be able to see a Doctor at our school clinic for free during school terms, accompanied by a parent/carer. Our school’s clinic will be staffed by Doctor Somani, joining us from Heatley Medical and Skin Care Centre. If you would like to make an appointment, please phone the office and ask for Beck. Doctor Somani will be available for appointments on Wednesday 4 December and Wednesday 11 December and will resume services in term 1 2025.
What services will the Health Practitioner be providing?
The Health Practitioner will provide the majority of services that students would be able to access at a community-based healthcare clinic. Only students enrolled at Heatley State School will be able to access our school’s clinic.
How much will it cost for my child to see the Health Practitioner at school?
All visits with the Health Practitioner are free for students. The Health Practitioner will bulk-bill all appointments through Medicare, so it is important that you and your child bring your Medicare card or number with you to their appointment.
