FIRST Lego League is a multi-part competition for teams of students based on three elements

Heatley students have participated in this competition since 2017, students teams work with teachers during the year at lunchtimes and after school to develop their robotics skills and knowledge, work on their project and develop an understanding of the FLL Core Values. Their work culminates in the FLL Challenge Day in November each year, where Heatley students compete against other North Queensland school teams.
Heatley have been successful in winning the Project Presentation component of the competition in both 2018 and 2019.
