In 2019, all of our year 4 students submitted entries in the Minister's Climate Challenge. One of our student teams - Erin Jess, Imogen Armstrong and Isabella Brooks, accompanied by year 4 teacher Maria Sims - was successful in making it to the State final which involved a trip to Brisbane during Climate Week 2019 where they met among others Al Gore and the Queensland Climate Minister Leanne Enoch. Their efforts featured in the Townsville Bulletin and were acknowledged in the Director General of Education's newsletter.
