This page is dedicated to supporting our parents to become active participants in their child’s education. Research tells us that students are more likely to be successful when their parents are engaged in their education.
A wide range of research has shown that when parents are truly engaged, children:
attend school more regularly
are better behaved
have better academic outcomes
have a greater sense of how to be successful in school
are more likely to graduate and go on to post-secondary education
Parent and community engagement (PACE)
Education Queensland has developed the Parent and community engagement framework to help schools, parents and the community to work together to maximise student learning. When reading the document - be sure to check out pages 5 & 7 to see some familiar faces.
