P&C

What is the Heatley SS P&C?

**Indigenous Parent Reference Group
In 2010 an Indigenous Parent Reference Group was formed at the school to engage Indigenous parents with the school's improvement agenda, especially around reading. Called 'Yubu Yunga' this group is recognised as a working group of the school's P&C Association and they meet at least once per term to provide advice to the principal and Community Education Counsellor on local community matters, to assist in varying ways to support the embedding of Indigenous perspectives in the school and to be consulted about and provide their suggestions about the school's implementation of ‘Indigenous Education’ annual funding.
