Introducing Miss Demi - our Community Education Counsellor (CEC).
The role of the CEC is to provide educational support services to First Nations students students to equip them for learning and participation at school. This involves connecting with students, school staff, community and families of students to ensure that the finest knowledge is obtained to support each individual student. CECs work closely with guidance officers and their local communities, and provide a significant service to First Nations students.
CECs are described as the First Nations cultural connection between school and community.
