Welcome to Heatley State School

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the country on which our school is built. Opened in 1971, Heatley State School is a co-educational primary school situated 11 km west of the Townsville CBD in North Queensland, Australia. We have an enrolment of just over 530 students from Prep to Year 6. We welcome enrolment inquiries, however please note we are an enrolment managed school.
Our vision:  We lead the way with innovative programs, inspired staff and learning success for every student.
Our purpose: Our school is built on a community that values and respects uniqueness and strives to support the growth of ALL school members in their educational, emotional and social pursuits.

Our 2019 priorities are: (i) Engagement and (ii) Achievement. In 2019 we are also undergoing a quadriennial school review (QSR) where we will be looking at our progress over these past four years. At the end of Term 2 part of this work will include a Full School Review undertaken by the School Improvement Unit. Watch this QSR info video for more information on the QSR process.

See Quicklinks for our various school documents. Please also browse around the rest of our website.
