Welcome to Heatley State School

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the country on which our school is built. Opened in 1971, Heatley State School is a co-educational primary school situated 11 km west of the Townsville CBD in North Queensland, Australia. Currently we have an enrolment of just over 520 students. We welcome enrolment inquiries.
Our vision:  We lead the way with innovative programs, inspired staff and learning success for every student.
Our purpose: Our school is built on a community that values and respects uniqueness and strives to support the growth of ALL school members in their educational, emotional and social pursuits.

Our 2019 priorities are: (i) Engagement and (ii) Achievement.

These priorities will be outlined in our 2019 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and Investing for Success (I4S) plan and published upon community and departmental approval. See Quicklinks for previous plans below. Please also browse around the rest of our website to find out more.
