Welcome to Heatley State School

Our school sits on the land of traditional Aboriginal owners, the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples and is a co-educational primary school.  Opened in 1971, it is approx. 11 km west of the Townsville CBD in North Queensland, Australia. Currently we have an enrolment of 550 students.
 
Our ethos is built on a community that values and respects uniqueness and strives to support the growth of ALL members in their educational, emotional and social pursuits. Our 2017 priorities are 'QE': Quality Teaching & Learning and Equity
