Welcome to Heatley State School

Our school sits on the land of traditional Aboriginal owners, the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples and is a co-educational primary school.  Opened in 1971, it is approx. 11 km west of the Townsville CBD in North Queensland, Australia. Currently we have an enrolment of 550 students.

Our ethos is built on a community that values and respects uniqueness and strives to support the growth of ALL members in their educational, emotional and social pursuits. Our 2017 priorities are 'QE': Quality Teaching & Learning and Equity
(see our Annual Implementation Plan for 2017 in QuickLinks).

If you would like to enquire about enrolments, please note we are an enrolment managed school. Go to the Enrolments page for further information and then phone 4759 5333 for enquiries and to make an appointment.
