Welcome to Heatley State School

We acknowledge the Wulgurukaba people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school is built. Wulgurukaba means “canoe people”. The Wulgurukaba call these lands “Gurrumbilbarra”.
Opened in 1971, Heatley State School is a co-educational primary school situated 11 km west of the Townsville CBD in North Queensland, Australia. We currently have 490 students from Prep to Year 6. Enrolment inquiries are most welcome: call (07) 47595333 or email
