
Introducing Ms Gillie – Family Support Coordinator (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
The role of the Family Support Coordinator (FSC) is to support children and their families in the P-2 years to establish positive patterns of attendance, behaviour and engagement in learning and to support smooth transitions into school environments.
FSCs work closely with other school support staff to reduce barriers to student learning by conducting family meetings, helping families access external, managing student transitions to Prep and providing a consistent point of contact for families, students and external service providers.
FSCs build and sustain positive relationships and effective partnerships with students, parents, school staff, government agencies, and community services to ensure optimal outcomes for children and their families.
