Our year 6 students graduate at the end of the year and head off to high school and while you may be thinking that it is a little early to be thinking about high school, our local high schools are already planning transition activities. There are a number of state high schools in the Townsville region and they coordinate a single transition day where year 6 students with a completed enrolment can attend their chosen state high school for the entire day. Each school plans their own program. This year the State High Schools Transition day will be Wednesday 2 December.
Parents/carers should ensure that all enrolment requirements have been completed by this date. Some schools will set their own close of enrolment date prior to this day.
Parents MUST complete the enrolment process for their chosen high school
We will provide available information for all state high schools in the Townsville region. Non-state high schools will set their own timelines and transition days.
We encourage you to contact the high school directly for all enquiries regarding year 7 enrolment. Some of these schools will have Enrolment Management Plans - see
Edmap External link for more details.
We will continue to update this page as information from our local state high schools is shared with us. Please follow/like the Facebook page/s of the high school/s that you intend enrolling at.
