North Queensland Toyota Cowboys player Griffin Neame worked at Heatley SS in 2018-2019 as a teacher aide before being elevated to the fulltime Cowboys training squad in the 2020 pre-season.
Griffin returns to Heatley as our Adopt-a-School player in 2023 with the departure of Ben Condon to the Manly-Warringah Sea-Eagles.
